Kaithi is a Tamil action thriller movie written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj of Maanagaram fame. The movie stars Karthi, Narain, and George Maryan. The movie soundtrack was composed by Sam C. S.; Philomin Raj handled the editing, while Sathyan Sooryan was the cinematographer. The movie Kaithi Tamilrockers is produced by S. R. Prakashbabu and S. R. Prabhu under the banner Dream Warrior Pictures and co-produced by Tiruppur Vivek under the banner Vivekananda Pictures.

Previously the director unveiled the second look of the film and Karthi released the teaser which received a good response from fans. Now, the makers have locked July 19 to release the film. However, an official announcement is yet to be made regarding the same.

The trailer of Kaithi Tamilrockers was released on the occasion of Ayudha Pooja by the movie makers. The video promises a raw action Tamil thriller movie. As per the title Kaithi, actor Karthi is a life-convict who escaped from jail. He has a daughter of 10 years old whether he met his daughter or not is the plot of this movie.

Maker of The Film

The film is directed by talented filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj who earlier impressed us with 'Maanagaram'. Touted to be an action cum family drama, the film marks the Tamil debut of South Indian sensation Rashmika Mandanna.

Going by the trailer, which promises an intense action thriller, Karthi plays Dilli, an escaped life-convict on the run. As an escaped prisoner who was in jail for ten years, Dilli is now chased by a cop.

The teaser also makes it clear that majority portion of the film has been shot at night. It has also been made clear that the film doesn’t feature a leading lady as it is believed to unfold in a single night.

SR Prabhu said post Maanagaram he wanted to team up with Lokesh. "He's serious about film making, which is inspiring. Also, Kaithi will be a localised version of Die Hard, and have lots of action sequences involved," added Prabhu.

The teaser of Tamil actor Karthi's upcoming film 'Kaithi' has been unveiled and it is pretty much interesting. This short video gives us a glimpse of the film and it is all about a prisoner named 'Dilli', essayed by Karthi.

We had recently reported about Karthi teaming up with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for a movie titled ‘Kaithi’. Its second look poster was released last day on the eve of Karthi’s birthday. The makers have informed that the movie’s teaser will be out on May 30. SR Prakashbabu and Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures is producing the movie.

Kaithi Tamilrockers Trailer Launch started with one minute silence, for Late comedy Actor Krishna moorthi, who passed away earlier this morning.. Shot in a jail setting, the movie is about Karthi and his fellow inmates who plan a prison break. When Karthik spoke about the film, he said, The entire film is shot at night with so much of action. There are a lot of shots which we cannot show in the trailer, as we want to save it for the final experience in the theatre.
